A Journey to Rediscover

Gotita y Yo – El Musical is a poetic musical that invites the viewer to rediscover the value of the seemingly insignificant.

Through the encounter between a human narrator and a small drop of water named Gotita, with a voice of its own, the play traverses memories, reflections, and everyday scenes that reveal how human beings live distracted, disconnected from nature, from others, and, often, from themselves.

But Gotita is not just water. It is memory. It is consciousness. It is a silent witness to the passage of time.

In dialogue with symbolic, endearing characters loaded with humor, the narrator faces his losses, routine, silence, and the difficulty of recognizing that, often, the most extraordinary things have always been right before his eyes.

Without imposing answers or resorting to moralizing speeches, the play proposes a more attentive, sensitive, and grateful look at life, nature, and the Creator.

Between original music, poetry, humor, and moments of deep intimacy, Gotita y Yo – El Musical becomes a journey of transformation where the viewer discovers that the greatest truths usually inhabit the smallest things. Because, sometimes, a simple drop of water, an unexpected greeting, or the smile of a stranger can contain the power to change our way of looking at the world.

Because when you learn to look slowly,

you discover that nothing is insignificant.

Central Message

We live surrounded by beauty, but the rush has taught us only to look, when we were created to observe.

By stopping, we discover that nature speaks, that every being has a purpose, and that what the world considers small or insignificant possesses immense value.

Gotita y Yo – El Musical is an invitation to rediscover that gaze: one that brings us closer to creation, to others, to ourselves, and to the Creator.

Purpose

To inspire people to pause, observe, and rediscover the beauty of the seemingly insignificant, awakening a more conscious outlook on life, nature, others, and the Creator, through an artistic experience that unites music, poetry, and reflection.

There are stories that are born on a sheet of paper. Others begin much earlier: in a conversation, a question, or a moment that, in appearance, seems insignificant.

The story of Gotita y Yo – El Musical (Little Drop and I – The Musical) began long before there was a script, a song, or a stage.

In the mid-2000s, writer Radamés Carrión Ortiz was sharing a conversation with two great friends, the Serrano brothers. During that meeting, they expressed a desire that had been troubling their hearts for some time: to learn to discover the beauty of the simple things in life. Those words led Radamés to fix his gaze on the morning dew and on a small drop of water.

What seemed like an everyday scene sparked a deep reflection. From that moment, the inspiration was born to write Gotita y Yo (Little Drop and I), a story that would later become part of his book Cuentos de lo Insignificante (Tales of the Insignificant).

Around those same years, Dean Llord met Radamés. From the first moment, Dean was captivated by the sensitivity of his stories, tales, and by the way they managed to find meaning in what most people overlook. Between conversations, readings, and the exchange of ideas, a friendship was born, marked by a love for creativity and a desire to communicate deep truths through simple stories.

Over time, both collaborated on different projects. One of them was Don Rada, a radio character played by Dean, for which Radamés wrote short stories inspired by nature, daily life, and the human relationship with the Creator. Without realizing it, those collaborations were strengthening an artistic vision that years later would find a new way to express itself.

Among all the stories that Radamés had written, there was one that never stopped accompanying Dean: Gotita y Yo (Little Drop and I).

From the first time he read it, he felt that the story had something special. It was not simply the tale of a water drop; it was an invitation to stop, observe, and discover the greatness hidden in that which seems insignificant.

In one of many conversations between friends, an idea emerged that seemed like a distant dream.

What if one day this story became a musical?

The conversation ended, but the idea remained.

Years later, around 2011, Dean began to develop that adaptation. He wrote the first scenes, composed songs, created new characters, and began to imagine a show that would expand the universe created by Radamés without losing the essence of its message.

However, life went on.

Responsibilities, work, and circumstances caused the project to be carefully put away. For years, the script, the songs, and the first drafts rested in a drawer, while the dream silently waited for its moment.

Dean read every page again and understood that the time had come to take it up again. What had once begun as an adaptation started to transform into a work with its own identity. New songs were written, the script took on a new form, and little by little, the team of artists who bring this project to life today began to come together.

Over time, Gotita y Yo (Little Drop and I) ceased to be just a musical inspired by a story.

It became an artistic experience with its own voice, born from the encounter between a writer's imagination and a composer's dream who, for years, believed that this story deserved to reach the stage.

Today, Gotita y Yo – El Musical represents much more than a theatrical production.

It is the result of sincere friendships, conversations that sowed hope, dreams that learned to wait, and people who decided to believe that the smallest things can also transform lives.

Because, sometimes, the greatest stories also begin with what seems insignificant.

Where It All Began

But dreams that are born at the right moment rarely disappear. They simply wait.

Years later, in 2025, a seemingly simple conversation reignited that dream. His friend Manny Arizmendi, whom Dean had told about the idea of turning Gotita y Yo into a musical back around 2016, asked him a question that would change the course of history. "What happened to that musical?"

Those few words were enough to reopen a drawer that had been closed for years. The songs, the characters, and the script were still waiting there.

And a dream that had never ceased to exist.
